East Heights UMC

When asked to share an East Heights's Ministry that has made a difference in my life, my Sunday School class, Faith Matters, immediately came to mind. Important in our class is the sharing and support we have for one another as we pray, learn and seek God's strength for life's challenges. Being a part of this class has helped me grow spiritually, and the fellowship we share is a blessing.- Nancy Woodard.

I was raised a Methodist and baptized as an infant. As a young adult, I joined an American Baptist church and was baptized through immersion per their teachings. I returned to a Methodist church when I returned to Wichita. I never felt comfortable in either of these churches. As I walked into EHUMC one Saturday night, I felt at home immediately. I was accepted with all my imperfections. I am trutly BLESSED to feel God's love each and every time that I enter EHUMC. Oh yes, I feel the love of each person that I encounter within the walls and feel very much at home. - Bettina (Tina) Pracht

We moved here to Wichita when our children were 3 years and 9 months old. I came several times with just the kids to see if East Heights would be a good church home. I was amazed at how the staff would greet us and called my children (in particular) by name so soon after we started attending. It made my 3 year old feel so loved and welcome in his new home. The support from the MOMs group has been invaluable to me in my journey to settle my family here. Finding a new church home is always a bit unsettling, but the warmth and welcome we received from all the church members made us sure in our choice. Now, two years later, the kids are so enjoying Sunday School, Rainbow Choir, and the awesome preschool/CDO program. And, my husband and I found a wonderful Sunday School class as well. We love East Heights!
