Welcome Video
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. This is a great step in acquainting yourself with East Heights and our ministries.
My name is Craig Hauschild. I am the Senior Pastor. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to be sharing ministry with this wonderful congregation. Everywhere I look I find people who are excited to share the love of God with the world.
From Costa Rica, to our neighbors right next door, East Heights is actively engaged in making the light of Christ visible for all to see.
Looking for a Preschool? Look no further! Our Preschool is 30 years strong. Nothing like a child’s innocence to inspire a great sermon. If I recall right, Jesus pointed the disciples to the children to understand what the kingdom of God was all about.
The importance of children is reflected in the many opportunities for kids to grow spiritually in their understanding of who God is through music and fun classes. Parents, you know one day your child is going to ask, “Who is God?” Don’t panic - get them in a group with other children their age to help them learn together the importance of who God is and why we were put here!
Perhaps the most important moments of spiritual formation happen during our middle school and high school years. We are beginning to explore the world and experience freedom for the first time in our lives. East Heights makes it a number one priority to have incredible youth ministry opportunities. We want our youth not only learning but experiencing God’s love by practicing it on a mountain top or in the one of many mission outposts in Wichita.
Adults find faith formation opportunities through Sunday morning classes and mid-week small groups. Disciple Bible Study is a core teaching tool that challenges one to dig deep into Gods Holy Word. Music opportunities are plentiful. A person can grow in their faith by lifting their voice in song or learning the rhythms of a bell anthem.
Multiple worship services and differing styles allow for individuals and families to find the right fit. Our sanctuary pipe organ will give you chills and the choirs give a sense of God’s presence at 11:00 AM on Sundays. The bands on Saturday night at 5:30 PM and on Sunday morning at 9:45 AM will have you clapping your hands and tapping your toes. These services are casual and meet in Hedrick Hall. The Chapel service at 8:45 AM on Sunday provides an intimate setting for traditional hymns and a simple worship style.
I could go on and on, instead, why don’t you start exploring the site and read up in the areas that interest you. Better yet, come for a visit and experience first hand a community that is seeking to Reach Up, Reach In, Reach Out in the name of Jesus Christ.
