Missions
Missions is a very important part of who we are
as the youth of East Heights

We strive to reach out to others and be the hands and feet of God through the many mission events we do.

Each month we have a mission project here in Wichita. Projects we have been a part of include:

•Feeding the homeless; baby-sitting for foster care children at the Wichita Children’s Home; sacking groceries at United Methodist Urban Ministries; mowing the lawn for Trees for Life; doing odd jobs for the Ronald McDonald House; delivering Meals on Wheels; baking and delivering cookies to our elderly members; shopping, wrapping and delivering Christmas gifts to families and much more!!

•The Souper Bowl of Caring on Super Bowl Sunday •30 Hour Famine in February.
•Sponsor a child through Compassion International.

Each Summer our Middle School Youth travel to be in mission. This past June, we spent a week with the youth at Wesley Rankin Community Center in Dallas, Texas. We shared with them our faith and culture and they shared with us theirs.

Visit our Photo Album page for more pictures from our trips!

Our High School Youth travel to the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee to be in mission with the people in the area through a Christian organization called Mountain T.O.P. This year is our 25th year at Mountain T.O.P. It is an incredible week of meeting the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of the people as well as activating our own faith.
