30 Hour Famine

  • East Heights United Methodist Church 4407 East Douglas Avenue Wichita, KS, 67218 United States (map)

Our youth and adults are excited to be able to do the 30 Hour Famine again this year on February 23 – 24. The 30 Hour Famine is an international student movement to fight hunger as well as bring our youth group closer to Christ and to one another, while forever changing a child’s life and our perspective of those in need. As part of the Famine, we will fast from noon on that Friday thru 6 p.m. that Saturday. From 9 p.m. on the 23rd through 7:30 a.m. on the 24th, we will participate in a variety of activities here at the church to help us understand the needs of hungry people around the world. Each youth is asked to raise at least $100 ($40 will feed one child for one month). The money raised goes through World Vision to persons of developing countries for education, training, clean water, food, medical treatment and more.

If you would like to donate to help our youth reach their goal, please contact Paige Nelson at 682-6518 or paige@ehumc.org or you can go on-line and give at www.ehumc.org
