Activities and classes for children through 5th grade are available on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings during the school year at East Heights. The church also hosts free, special activities for the community several times a year, including Vacation Bible School during the summer, an Easter-egg hunt in the spring and Trunk or Treat in the fall. Check the Events section during the year for  information about these activities.

Looking Ahead:

  • December 10th, 2025 – Christmas Pageant Dress Rehearsal, 6:45-7:45.

  • December 14th, 2025 – Children’s Christmas Pageant, 11:00 service.

  • December 17th, 2025 – Christmas Party, 6:45-7:45 in the Treehouse.

  • December 24th-31st – No EH Kids, Christmas Break.

Sunday School

At East Heights, we believe that even the very youngest are ready and eager to develop their faith and relationship with God. To help the children on their journey, we offer church school at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings for children ages 3 through fifth grade. Everyone meets upstairs, in The Tree House, and all are welcome! If you are a newcomer, please ask one of our greeters to help you find the appropriate classroom.

We also offer EH Kids at 11, a time for children ages 4 through 5th grade attending the 11 a.m. sanctuary service, to learn Bible stories. After Children’s Time during 11 a.m. service, children will be directed to follow their teacher to The Tree House. Parents can pick up their children upstairs in The Cherry Room after worship.

Wednesday Evening Activities for Children

Children 3 years (potty trained) to 5th grade are invited to join us upstairs in the Treehouse for EH Kids Choir and EH Kids Wednesday.

Wednesday Night Schedule:  

  • 6:15 – EH Kids Choir

  • 6:45-7:45 – EH Kids Wednesday

  • 7:45-8:15 – Kidzone and Arcade available for kids who need to stay later.

Children’s Day Out

A caring, learning environment is offered for children 3 months through 5 years of age on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., so kids and parents can have a day out. Find out more about Children’s Day Out.
