Humble Beginnings, Lasting Impact UPDATE: We are overjoyed to share that we have met our $28,000 goal in support of Family Promise of Wichita. To honor 80 years of ministry at East Heights United Methodist Church, we set out to raise funds to help families in our community find stability and housing. Through your generosity, that goal has been reached. Thank you for your faithful giving and support – your gifts will help provide hope, stability, and a pathway home for families in need. What a joyful way to celebrate 80 years of ministry together – God is good!

Luncheon Invitation and Anniversary Celebration: Join us as we celebrate 80 years of faith, community, and God’s faithfulness at our Anniversary Celebration this Sunday! The celebration will begin with a Worship Service at 10:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon at 12:00 p.m. as we gather to share memories, reconnect with friends and celebrate all that God has done through the years.

College Care Packages: We will assemble our care packages for our college students on Tuesday, April 28th at 6 p.m. in the Dining Room. If you have a college student you would like to receive a care package, please send their address to Paige Nelson at paige@ehumc.org We are also accepting donations for snack-size goodies as well as monetary donations for boxes and postage.

We are all Called to Attend the Nehemiah Assembly: It is time for East Heights members and friends to save the date to come together and bring about positive change over the topics of affordable housing and gun violence with Justice Together! The BIG event – the Nehemiah Action – is Monday, April 27th at 6 p.m. at the WSU Metroplex! You can carpool from the church or meet up there. Our goal is to get AT LEAST 100 people at the event, and we have been challenged to bring 200 (our average worship attendance.) Keep an eye out for the sign up link so we can know our progress towards our goal of 100-200 East Heights folks and so we can make plans for everyone that would like to carpool! Have questions? Please be sure to reach out to Paige Nelson or Pastor Sam at 316-682-6518 or you can email them at paige@ehumc.org or sam@ehumc.org We really hope to see you there!
